The Kejriwal government is working on a plan to improve the roads of South Delhi. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday approved a Rs 23.24 crore project to improve 15 roads. Sisodia claims that the strengthening of these roads will facilitate movement. Apart from getting rid of traffic jams, time and fuel will also be saved.

The length of these roads is 18.19 km. Delhi government will strengthen these roads with the help of modern technology. Thereafter, these roads are likely to remain strong for a long time. The Delhi government will ensure strict adherence to the standards set during the strengthening to make the movement smooth and safe. Sisodia said that the strengthening of these roads was done many years ago. During this period, the load of vehicles on the roads has increased significantly due to which cracks have developed on the top surface of the roads. Taking immediate cognizance of this, the government has decided to start the work of strengthening the roads of these four assembly constituencies.
