Earlier on Thursday morning, a 250 KVA transformer installed near Kamla Nagar in Daulatpur threw oil due to overheating. Due to this, there was no electricity throughout the day in Shakti Nagar, Sudama Nagar, Sankata Nagar Colony, Kamla Nagar. People said that they kept calling JE and SDO but no one picked up the phone. Power supply was restored by installing a trolley transformer at 5 pm. On the other hand, there was also a problem of low-voltage in many areas including Kashi Vidyapeeth.

Electricity will remain closed for two hours today around Beniyabagh

The 33 KV power wire passing in front of the main gate of Bhelupur Jalkal office will be underground on Friday. Due to this the power supply from Manduadih substation will be stopped. Urban Electricity Distribution Board’s superintendent engineer Anoop Saxena said that due to underground wire, the power supply in and around Beniabagh will be closed from 12 noon to 2 pm.
