In such a situation, the people of the city may have to face drinking water crisis on Thursday and Friday. To make its strike successful, PHE Employees United Front has gathered and meetings have been organized at different places.

During this temporary water workers will not work anywhere in PHE pumping station, tube well, office premises. This will affect the water supply.

At the same time, Ravi Hans said that we are repeatedly asking the government that at least a policy should be made to regularize the temporary employees engaged in the Jal Shakti Department. This worker is at work for 20-20 years. There is no worry about their future. However, after meeting many administrative officers, even memorandums have been handed over. But nothing was received except assurances. These temporary workers had gone on a 24-hour strike last month, but the demands were not accepted and now we are going on a 48-hour strike. If this continues, then one day we will go on a long strike, then the administration will realize. There are 22000 daily wage workers in Jal Shakti Department in Jammu division.
